Yesterday, on 5 November, although the lockdown rules prevented a formal service this year, a small delegation of The Western Front Association kindly laid a wreath on behalf of the Government of Flanders.
The wreath was placed at the Western Front Association memorial plaque at platform 8 in Victoria Station, where the Unknown Warrior arrived by train in 1920 and was transported to his final resting place in Westminster Abbey.
The Government of Flanders is most grateful our friends of the Western Front Association could perform this act of commemoration on its behalf.
